Larry Loftis is an AV-rated Florida attorney, tax lien investor, and best-selling author.  In addition to writing scholarly legal articles for the National Law Journal, Florida Bar Journal, Florida Banking, and the Law Reviews of the University of Florida, University of Georgia, and Suffolk University, Mr. Loftis has written a best-selling book entitled, Profit by Investing in Real Estate Tax Liens (Dearborn/Kaplan, 2004, 2007).

He has invested in tax liens or deeds in 11 states, and has been to sales or conducted tax lien research in another 6 states.

Mr. Loftis has been cited as a tax lien expert by countless media sources, including The Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur magazine, Wealth magazine, Msn.Money, TheStreet.com, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, and the Miami Herald. And he’s actually cited in the definition of “tax lien sales” in Wikipedia.

In  2009, he invested approximately $1.6 million in tax liens at an average rate of approximately 17.3 percent. For 2010, Mr. Loftis has and investment pool of $12 million allocated to tax liens.

Mr. Loftis is an adjunct Professor of Law at Belhaven College and has lectured on tax liens or secured real estate investing in 45 U.S. states and Canada.
