Mike Drummond is a seasoned author, editor and journalist. He has been the editor-in-chief of Inventors Digest since January 2007. Previously, he was a business editor and writer and war correspondent and bureau chief in Baghdad for the McClatchy Newspapers chain.

As editor of Inventors Digest, he oversees the editorial vision and day-to-day execution of running the nation’s longest-running magazine for the inventor industry.

He is a 2007 Pulitzer Prize finalist and has racked up numerous journalism awards. He has worked or written for Fortune, Wired, Salon, the San Diego Union Tribune, the Charlotte Observer and many other publications. He’s also the author of “Renegades of the Empire,” a behind-the-scenes look at Microsoft’s computer-game and Internet ambitions (Crown/Random House, 2000).

He lives in Charlotte, N.C., with his wife of 16 years Alison, and their two children, Harper Rose and Eli.
